Selected Projects

10,000 Balconies

TheatreSquared (workshop production)

Loosely inspired by Romeo & Juliet and set in Damascus, Syria. This project was funded by a $250,000 grant from the Doris Duke Building Bridges program. It included Arabic poetry, original music, and cultural rituals from Damascus.

The Chairs

University of Arkansas

“We leave a trace because we are people and not cities”. With those words from the timeless script of Ionesco’s The Chairs, I led my process of directing this piece for my thesis production.

Vietgone

TheatreSquared

After working on Vietgone at Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Manhattan Theatre Club, I got to bring my Vietgone to Arkansas and a just few miles away from Fort Chaffee where the story took place.

Hold Fast

Curbside Theatre (co-devised/co-directed)

This project was born out of the covid 19 pandemic and from the desire to find away to make theatre happen safely. It performed at more than 30 different locations and in front of more than 100 audience members in Northwest Arkansas.

Much Ado About Nothing

Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival

This production was set to tour in New York before it got interrupted by Covid 19.
